Manish Malhotra shares top lessons for aspiring designers
The world of films has always fascinated Manish Malhotra, who began his career as a costume designer in 1990. However, the fashion designer, who started his eponymous label in 2006, has not limited himself to it and has also experimented with interior designing. “The ride continues and is as exhilarating. I am truly grateful to be able to do what I love,” Malhotra, 57, said.
Taking these experiments a step ahead, he recently collaborated with Gauri Khan for Bonito Designs, and has been offering his design expertise in the décor space with their latest project World Designs. “Designing homes is a passion close to my heart, and this collaboration aligns perfectly with my desire to create beautiful living spaces. Our latest project is particularly exciting as it allows us to incorporate various global influences and personal visions into our creative process,” said Malhotra, adding that he is “enthusiastic” about the chance to transform and enhance the world of design.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Malhotra shares his design philosophy and his message for young guns looking to make a mark in the field.
